You should be able to build your own from IKEA for that price or find one that is pre-thought (where you just have to follow the instructions and put it together).

Yeah, just do something up from IKEA. There's a guide somewhere on the Tutorial forum for doing this.

Sure thing. Just change the searching parameters from combinations to table tops or legs and trestles.

Well its not a DIY I'm actually just weighing the pros and cons of buying the materials and actually assembling it myself (I have a access to a woodworking shop) or buying it precut and assembling it. My current desk is fine but it doesn't have shelves or anything.

We are heading up to Minneapolis here soon and they have a local IKEA, so I might check there as well as go to the microcenter and pick up a few things for my upcoming build :)

MOA Ikea is awesome.  And that Microcenter has some sick deals, all of which are pick up only..... you should pick me up one of the monitors I want :)
