Need help with choesing coolent.

I'm in the planing phase for my new water cooled rig. and I can't seem to decide wich cooling fluid I want.

 

I'm ordering every cooling component from ekwb. but I have read that there premixed fluid corrot really fast. is this true?

 

If so what other fluids can you guys recomend?

 

I'm looking for blood red/red fluid.

 

every block in the system is acetal.

I've never used EK premixed fluid, but I can't imagine that it hasn't been tested to work well with their WC components.

 

Otherwise, have a look at Mayhems X1 or Pastel.

I just use distilled water which you can buy for almost nothing in the local supermarket for use in irons. This way you dont get a residue in your iron due to the minerals in tapwater. Be sure to use some sort of bacterial killer. You can buy fluids or a silver killcoil which ive got. Ive heared some people have problems though with the antibacterial fluids. After almost a year in my system theres still no gunk BTW ive got nickel EK blocks and copper rads.

If you really need color, I'd go with EK's own fluid or Mayhem's. Otherwise, plain distilled water

In watercooling you will always get corrosion and you are suppose to do a full loop clean every year if you keep you coolant clean but what makes for real problem is when you incorporate aluminum or what ever other metals you can put into a loop other than copper and brass. If you keep the metals to copper and brass corrosion is a small. That being said clogging is common with some pre-mixed coolants with dyes. You best bet is to use laboratory grade distilled water and silver coils or silver bullets. Feser and Mayhems are ok if you must do a dye but try to stay away from the Mayhems's Aurora, it looks good but has a high problem rate and not even the "water cooling" community can figure out why.

best way - also get a silver coil in ur loop somewhere
