Hello, recently I booted up my computer and it said Sorry your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart MACIENE_CHECK_EXCEPTION It restarted then said that again over and over I can't even sign into my account. I have had the same PC for 5 years.

CPU: i5 650

GPU: GTX 550 Ti

RAM: 8GB

Motherboard: Unknown

1 TB Hard Drive

All the hardware is fine I ran it through a test and it said everything was fine. So then I got to the recovery screen, it won't let me refresh or reset the PC when I click either of them it just goes to the crash screen the only thing I can do is go into safe mode or use cmd. I went to the control panel and tried to restore my PC to the 18th and when I did nothing happened, I really don't want to reset my PC unless I have to.... I am getting a new computer within the next 2 months but in the meantime I need something to play CS:GO on...........

Ok first fixing the loop.

Turn your pc off with the psu switch.

Then turn it on and immediatly hit F8. Keep trying if it won't work at the first shot. F8 needs to be hit in the first few seconds.

You should be prompted with the advanced boot screen.

There scroll down to Deactivate automatic restart on system failure.

Reboot your system now and see if it worked.

If it didn't work redo the procedure but hit

Last known good configuration

There you should be able to select to an earlier snapshot of the system

If this still don't work boot into savemode and run an admin cmd. (rightclick, run as admin from Start, Utilitys)

*Dunno if it's in the right order, english isn't my native language.

Now run CHKDSK

Make yourself a coffee, this takes ages.

Then reboot

System should work now

Bye LTT. That was an interesting journey on this board. At least here you see how not to do it. I'll go shaking my head about this place.

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861
