Anyone think a 4770K would be a bottleneck on duel 4GB 680's with a top tier X87 Asus MB?

 

I know technically there is always a bottleneck but I hope you all understand what I am getting at.

no, why should it? Even a 2500k is fine for a SLI setup. Or do you think anyone can feel 1 or 2 fps less? :D

It would not be a bottleneck. However, if you are waiting for Haswell, you might as well wait for GTX 7xx too.

Everything will bottleneck, but it's not gonna make a significant difference.

By duel 4GB 680s you actuall mean dual 4GB 680s right? Deul means to an arranged engagement in combat between two individuals, with matched weapons in accordance with agreed-upon rules and dual mean two anyhooo..... it should not.

lol... it won't. Dual 4 Gb 670s can't bottleneck a 3770k so it won't bottle neck a 4770k. Most bottlenecks in custom systems are found in at the HDD as it is most often not really looked at unless you use SSDs. for you OS
