Rethink my Build

Go to solution Solved by Norman_the_Owl,

I could get it for less then 600 euros, just that it's out of stock. And i don't think that i gonna wait just for that Graphics Card a long time. I don't understand that much from Graphics Card, which makes it a bit a problem.

Graphics cards are pretty simple, higher numbers equal better.

So i rethinked my build and that came out.

If anyone can tell me, if i choose the 860W platin PSU would it be then possible to OC the CPU and the GPU?

Windows 8.1 doesn't work that great with the Corsair link software. I would swap it for the H105.

You are overspending on the psu. I would swap it for the EVGA Supernova G2 850W.

While it is a more expensive kit Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory offers better timings.

It also occurs to me that Avexir MPower yellow memory would perfectly compliment the build. Unfortunately the only kit I could find in the US is Avexir MPOWER Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory which would mean using two kits to get 16GB.

If you have the budget, go for a 1TB ssd, Samsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive.

There is room with the 860W to oc both the cpu and gpu. If you are really worried you could go for 1000W, SeaSonic X-1050 or EVGA 220-P2-1000-XR,

Yeah about the GPU i am not that sure anymore because i went to the site and what is, Out of Stock the gtx 780 lightning -_-

And i asked 2-3 Months when it will be again available.

I was thinking of replacing the 512GB ssd with the 1TB.

I would worry about heat retention with a platidip coated motherboard. I look forward to seeing a build log.

Where are you shopping?

If the Lightening isn't available you might consider an EVGA GTX 780 w/ACX or any other GTX 780 for that matter. The actual game difference between various models is quite small. Since you are using platidip on the motherboard you could do something similar on the cooler shroud of the gpu.

Would you reffer that one?

And how does the Crossfire work?

If you can get your hands on a lightning 290x for less than 600 euros, it's a good card. But it is WAAAY over expensive. Idk if the prices for them in europe are as bad as stateside, but you're better off with the lightning 780 than 290x

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it
