When playing Skyrim I have just noticed a problem with the menu. I think this is mainly down to the monitor I am using. It is a LG 34UM95-P and when I am checking my items I do not get the menu at the bottom showing armor rating, health, carrying weight or amount of gold. I have tried setting the resolution in the SkyrimPrefs.ini file but that hasn't worked. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems the launcher is overruling the SkyrimPrefs.ini file.

Try to open the ini file, type in your values and then save it.

Now before you open your launcher, right click the .ini -> Properties

Check the box where it says read-only.

Now that I have changed the SkyrimPrefs.ini files and set it to read only, it seems to be the right resolution but it won't go fullscreen and the mouse isn't in sync. I appears to only be going in windowed mode and every time I open it from the message says it detcts the hardware and will change the settings to ultra and then won't.
