Comcast Once Again Proving their Reprehensibleness (yes, that's a word)

CCap

In the just over eight-minute-long audio clip posted above, Block can be heard enduring what has been described as a "hellish," "Kafkaesque nightmare" with one very pushy Comcast employee.

“Why don’t you want the faster speed? Help me understand why you don’t want faster Internet," the unnamed rep asked Block, after learning that he wanted to cancel his cable and internet services for another provider. “We are the No. 1 provider of Internet and TV service in the entire country. Why is it that you’re not wanting to have the No. 1 rated Internet service, the No. 1 rated TV service available?”

This may be one of my favorite quotes of all time, from sfgate.com.  vv

It’s a little like cable provider purgatory, an in-between place of suffering where you have to hang out for a while in order to ascend to a post-Comcast life.

It is at moments like these that I am glad to be living in a comcast-free area. Thank you Verizon FiOS for being available in the greater Tampa Bay metropolitan area, for without you, I'd be forced to use comcast <3

Repost, gosh darnit. I found it literally 48 seconds after posting :(

This is old news...

I don't know why but the tweet from @veronica just appeared on my twitter feed today. It came up as 10 minutes ago, not a week ago. Thanks Valve
