just wondering

Go to solution Solved by I/O,

I was just wondering does a gtx 760 4GB outperform a gtx770 2GB because games these day use more and more vram

Vram does not make a GPU faster at all. Core clock speed, architecture, and memory speed not value are what make a card faster. The only way a 4GB 760 would be useful would be in SLI only otherwise it's a big waste of money for absolutely no performance gain.

No.. Games that require more than 2 GB of VRAM will probably also require more GPU power than what the 760 can offer.

Maybe there is a very lightweight game that's extremely VRAM heavy, but for the most part you're better off with a more powerful GPU rather than a weaker one with more VRAM.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Okay then I won't cancel my gtx 770
