So, every time I load csgo, my mic goes to 100%. I'll have to alt tab out to put it back down to 60 under the windows mic settings to make it not sound like I'm screaming. This happens EVERY time I load CS:GO, and I don't play any other multiplayer game that require a mic so I can't check with those. I have skype installed, and I believe skype is the cause of this. Any ideas to keep my mic at 60% and not spike & stay at 100%?

The microphone volume in the steam overlay actually adjusts your microphone volume in the windows volume controller so make sure that you go into the overlay > settings > voice and set the volume there to appox. whatever your desired volume is when you have to go to your desktop to change it

Right click your microphone in recording under sound and go to properties then advanced. Uncheck the box that says "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". If that doesn't work I have no idea.

I have that disabled already. I thought that was the problem too :(
