If the specs are real, it's a shame the stock clocks were lowered.

What would you do with 5GB anyway? :P There will probably be a 5GB/6GB version as there was with the 2/4GB with the 680.  Would have liked to see two mini-displayports instead of a full sized one... I don't feel like we need 2 DVI ports though, would like to see more than one DisplayPort, since DisplayPort can be adapted to single-link DVI, and most monitors that need the bandwidth of dual-link DVI probably also have a DisplayPort input anyway.

3gig reference.. Maybe asus msi evga etc will put more on there? More video Ram means u can run extra screens, higher resolutions .. More bandwidth overall isn't a bad idea .. Not many games currently chew up anywhere near 6gb of VRAM but it with those higher resolutions u might be bottlenecked .. Maybe in a year or 2.

Also when u run in SLI, the VRAM doesn't add up.

looks like a lower clocked titan with a few less cuda cores

That's because it's basically what it's supposed to be. Rumor has it was that this was supposed to be the Titan LE specs.

Yes but not everyone is, so it'd be annoying for everyone who wants the power of a 780 to have to pay for the extra VRAM when not all of them need it... as with previous gens there will probably be aftermarket models with extra VRAM for the multi-monitor people.

DisplayPort can be adapted to anything except VGA with passive cables, or VGA/DL-DVI with active cables.  I still don't think we need two DVI connections, one DL-DVI-I is enough (it can be adapted to VGA passively), an HDMI, and 2 DP/Mini-DP would be my preference.

I'm sorry but I don't believe that is the price in euros, this is what current prices for the gtx 680 look like:

  • Asus GTX680-DC2-2GD5 - $507, €449
  • Asus GTX680-DC2O-2GD5 - $460, €447
  • EVGA 02G-P4-2687-KR - $480, €455
  • Gigabyte GV-N680SO-2GD - $485, €414

  • Zotac ZT-60101-10P - $457. €433

The prices in euros are from two of the cheapest stores I know of, sorry if I didn't cover all the models of 680 available, but as far as I saw the Gigabyte one is the cheapest around here. If we look at the difference between the two we see that at its maximum is 71, while on the prices listed above for the 780 it's 130.

Based on experience I would say that the actual price would be around €530-550 so that the 770 can have one similar to the 680.

I apologize for my English.

The 780 won't be coming in at the same price as the 680 did but a bit higher.

based on what the OP states the 780 will be €465, the current price of the 680 as you can see. I only expressed my opinion about the price in euro being too low for what the card actually is, and pointed €550 as a more possible one.

EDIT: reworded.

Ah yes, I think the OP just converted USD into Euro not realizing hardware prices are always more expensive in Europe.  €465 is not a quote from the source.

With the introduction of more and more gap cards i wont be surprised if the 770 comes in at the 500 spot.

Yeah maybe they should have called it the 770 Ti, lord knows they need those lower model numbers freed up.  I don't want to see any of this GTX 650, GTX 650 Ti, GTX 650 Ti BOOST nonsense again... lol
