Hi, I'm thinking about building a gaming pc and was wondering if this is a good build.  I would like to leave room for future upgrades (2 years maybe).

I can get all of these parts from my local PC store for about $705 after discounts and rebates.

Cut that SSD and go for the combo 1TB + 120GB 840 evo will save quite some money

BTW why not go for R9 280/ R9 270X?

My current rig for entertainment/gaming: i5 4570 3,2GHz; MSI B85M-E45; ZOTAC GTX760 AMP!; 8GB (2x4GB) by Kingston; Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm; Corsair 200R, Corsair VS650; Dell U2312HM, Samsung DVD R/W optical drive; CM Devastator; Corsair MM400 gaming pad

It is a good build. If you can, I would recommend getting a 840 Evo rather than the 840 Pro. They will perform similarly, though the Pro is a bit faster. Then try to get a 270x.

Build: CPU: Intel Core i5 4690k | CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo | Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5 | RAM: 8GB G-Skill Ares 1600Mhz CL9 | Storage: 120GB Samsung 840 Evo + WD Blue 1TB 64MB Cache + Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64MB Cache | GPU: MSI GTX 960 | Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer | Power Supply: EVGA 600B Non-Modular |
