Is G2A.com safe?

CerberusFlame99
Go to solution Solved by GhostWindGamer,

It comes highly recommended from so many people on the forum I think it's safe

so i came across this website called G2A.com, and its selling cd keys for games and software for very cheap... have any of you used this site before? is it trustworthy?

It doesnt matter who wins and who loses, because in the end, the king and the pawn go into the same box.

Sorry, don't mean to high jack the thread, but I've been wondering about G2A windows 8.1 keys as well.

How does this work exactly? You buy the key, but then do they email you a link to download windows? (sorry if that's a noob question...)

Once you buy the key you can view the key in your bought items. But they'll tell you to download a screen sharing software to help you install it, but you should ignore that because it's a waste of time.

thanks guys. i was just unsure because of the extremely low prices

its debateable how legal or illegal G2A and such websites are. In theory they buy games in bulk for cheap. On the other hand, many countries where the average income is very low, games will be at a lower price than usual so that people will still buy the games. G2A has been accused of buy keys intended for these regions and then selling them on the global market. Technically that is still legal, but becomes a gray area, mostly because it is somewhat immoral. Many people have also claimed that G2A can only get such low prices by stealing a lot of their keys.

It has happened with a game before, can't remember the title, that the developer found out about the stolen keys and simply deleted all of the games downloaded with the stolen keys. At that point the consumer has no right to claim a new key from the developer/g2a, because you "knew"what you were getting into when you bought the game 50% off before it is even released.

Just like everyone above said though, I too have never heard of anyone not getting their key. Sometimes, for example with Diablo 3, you had to wait a day to get your key, which led a few people to ask for their money back whilst they bought the game directly from blizzard. They responded fast and returned the money within a few days.
