I'm building a new pc (to use for web browsing and high graphic gaming). my CPU is i5 4690, GPU gtx 760, Ram; 8 gb. I was really confused over motherboard. looking around the web I found the Asus H81-Plus (http://www.ebuyer.com/546303-asus-h81-plus-socket-1150-8-channel-hd-audio-atx-motherboard-h81-plus) but there was a more expensive one ASRock H97 Pro4. the chipset is different but how does that effect my performance.

I'm not looking for dual graphic cards or any over clocking.

Also if anyone could recommend a better motherboard but around the same price of £45

get the cheaper Asrock H97 board

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

If you could find gigabyte H97-D3H or ASUS H97 PLUS for about the same price as the Asrock pro 4 i'd go with that instead, otherwise the Asrock is a good enough board.

They support your CPU out of the box, flashing a board BIOS can go wrong and theres no guarantee that the board you get will work great with your CPU after a bios flash, it could be a big pain in the a$$...go with an H97 board, or get a 4670 CPU.

They all start at £60 and over.

it's still very cheap...would you go with an i5-4670 and B85 or H81 board?

hmm

i will either suggest using a lower grade CPU instead or swapping to a R9 270x to keep the cost down

this board is decent

one more question. any difference if i buy matx or atx besides the size. :)

if you need to add a lot of expansion cards then get the ATX

otherwise the mATX may be cheaper

Nothing wrong with mATX as you wont likely do multiple GPUs on any H97 motherboard.
