Black screen, blinking cursor?

So my buddy has this HP media-station, (m8000) to be exact. It turns on, loads the bios fine, then black screen and blinks the little cursor at the top left. I swapped the HDD to my SSD to see if it would boot from that and nope. Same thing. What do you think could be the problem?

can it detect the SSD and HDD?

 

it may seem it trying to read the drives but failed

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Yea it can detect all of the drives, sdd and hdd. just wont boot them. Could it be the CPU?

if you can boot to BIOS

 

i dont think its the CPU

 

Clear CMOS and try again
