So ive got a semi modular psu that i would replace with a modular one but i don't have the money right now and i want the cables to match the build as atm they are yellow :o. I was looking at these and wondering how they work

http://www.mwave.com.au/product/bitfenix-alchemy-sleeved-cable-24pin-atx-power-blackblue-ab54244

Does it go:

PSU - NON MODULAR CABLE - EXTENSIONS - COMPONENT ?

because they don't look long enough to go straight from the psu

also id want to use these cables for the CPU, 24 pin and my graphics card with has a 6 pin and a 8 pin but i cant find any 6 or 6+2 extensions so will a normal 8 pin work?

Yup! you just plug those onto your own cables. Basically you preferrably hide yours behind the mobo and let the Bitfenix ones come out. Looks very nice! Only problem is: You need enough space for your cables to be hidden entirely behind your mobo tray.

What about the 8 pin to 6 pin on the GPU?

Depends what you mean by "a normal 8 pin."

You can't use a CPU 8 pin connector on a graphics card, and you can't use a 6+2 pin on a CPU.

An 8 pin graphics card connector will work for your 8 pin on your card (obviously), but I don't know if you'll be able to use an 8 pin connector in a 6 pin slot.

Look at the colours of the cables. I think the 8 pin should just have 2 more black cables (ground).

Regradless, I wouldn't personally use an 8 pin in a 6 pin slot. I don't think it will fit.

and this for gpu: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=24421&cPath=1347

also i found a 6 pin: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19234&cPath=1347

one last thing these are still extensions right? not cables that need to go straight from a psu

You should buy an 8pin VGA, a 6pin VGA, 8 pin CPU, and the 24pin mobo connector. I did the same thing for my old rig, look nice,

also you cannot plug an 8pin vga cable into the 6pin on your gpu.
