Ok, so i tried to format my usb drive about a week ago and it said it can't as the disk is write protected. I immediately searched the internet for how to turn write protection of, I found this tutorial "http://www.wikihow.com/Disable-Write-Protection" I followed the instructions, made all the changes to the registry correctly and tried the CMD part of the guide. Everything went well until i tried to go and format my drive again, it came up with the same message as before. I went back and checked the registry changes about 5 times and tried the cmd part gain with no success.

Please help does anybody know how to turn write protection off?

The registry changes:

Check the drive itself.  It may have a write-protection switch.
