Storage Drivers for non-raid

I have 2 SSD's in a non-raid setup. Besides the Intel chipset drivers I have been told I should install the latest RST. Isn't this for raid? Should I try it?

Rapid Storage drivers are to increase he performance I believe. I use them and have a non-raid setup. 

 

Edit: Just did some quick reading. I was correct. Just increases performance.
