$3500 NZD Budget

Mushious
(Basing this off that stickied post for easy reading... I think?)

Ohay,

I'm building a new machine in a couple of weeks as I have been using a Macbook Air mid-2013 (which I adore) for the past 13 months and want am wanting a decent with a bit of future-proofing.

Budget and Location

I'm based in New Zealand so all prices are in NZD. All prices will preferably acquired from Computerlounge.

My total budget for this build is $3500, including peripherals as I have none.

Aim

The machine is going to be mainly for gaming (with the intent to record), a bit of video editing, large-document photoshop work and a small amout of music production.

My hardware of choice is:

Mobo: ASUS Z97-K

Cooling: Noctua NH-D14

Monitor(s)

I'm just looking at one monitor for now, possibly a second in the future however, I'm not a fan of dual-monitor setups. 27" is my ideal size.

The LG 27M45VQ-B 27" is my monitor of choice, simply because it is the right size and fits the budget.

Peripherals (because I like them)

Keyboard: Logitech G510s

Current total: $3187.40

If you have any ideas for improvement, please don't hesitate to say, I haven't built a machine in a few years and would like feedback before I splash the cash on it. I'm open to change but due to extreme stubbornness (yeah let's call it that), I will not get rid of the 780Ti.

If anyone can think of a way to make it cheaper (but better, of course), I'm all ears.

I have a NAS so extra storage is not a thing I'm looking for.

I would say to drop the PSU for a 550W or 650W, as you don't need so much power, and use the extra cash to buy more RAM (another 4Gb might help you in Photoshop). The rest seems pretty solid.

I can get a VS-SERIES 650W (V650S) for $169.95, bit cheaper, would that suffice?
