Evening, I want some opinions about my first build, it will be used for both gaming and editing programs such as 3ds Max , Maya etc.

I plan on getting an h100i late next month so ill stick with the cpu stock cooler for now, and yes i plan on doing oc after i get it.
For periphireals I don't need any , and as for the resolution of my monitor is 1920 x 1080.

I plan on ordering it next friday thus I'm waiting for opinions about the parts below and if possible explanations why there are better ( hardwarewise and if they have any , softwarewise )

For my OS, I already have Windows 8 Pro licensed.

CPU : Intel i7 4790k
Mobo : MSI Z97 Gaming 5
Memory : Corsair Dominator Platinum 8 Gb
Storage : Samsung Evo 120 Gb and WD Blue 1 TB
Graphics : Msi gtx 770 gaming oc
Power Supply : Seasonic M12II Evo 620W
Case : Thermaltake Chaser A31
+ 2 x Corsair SP120 High Performance Edition

PCpartpicker List :http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yb4pzy

And for my budget, roughly between 1200 - 1250 $

4790k is a little overkill for gaming....

Also for the H100i, you might want to go with some SP120 or SP140 fans, AF series won't do great at stuffing air through a rad.

go with just the simple corsiar sp120s without the color on them. they preform great. and undervolt nicely. ditch the corsiar dominator platmims and go with kingston hyperx fury, they preform great and i highly recomend them. there only 75 bucks for 8 gb!! use that extra money to get a better video card. use the money saved to invest in a better video card.

get these fans and save yourself 10 bucks

Ok I pieced together mostly the same system you did but better performing and a better case and better PSU.  Here is the Pcpartpicker list,  10 bucks cheaper.  Oh and I know everyone here has a "hadron" for samsung SSDs but honestly you prolly will not see the difference unless you get the 840 pro or the new 850 pro.
