Some help identifying RAM

Go to solution Solved by Potatopowered,

I think that Kingston uses the same pic for all of their modules on their site. As long as the ID number is the same, and you're 100% sure that it's compatible with your system, you'll be fine.

What is your computer spec, so i check the compatibility of it.

Is that the RAM below?

"KVR16N11/8

8GB 2Rx8 1G x 64-Bit PC3-12800
CL11 240-Pin DIMM"

I looked online and the model highet seems to be fine, different makers have different specs but will always fit into the MB RAM slots. The reason the height may be so low is because the fit all the chips in a row and don't need to stack them above each other.

Ah, I see. Thanks very much guys :D

First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but since it seemed tech related, I didnt want to post it in the off topic section.

Anyway I was looking to upgrade my ram and checked out the local shop, but the stuff they had seemed to be almost half the height of the product pictured in the website O.o I wondered if it was for laptops or whatever, but the sales assisants assure me its for PC...

What the locals stores have ^

The ID number is: kvr16n11/8

I did find the corresponding thing on Kingston's website (http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/valueram/desktop), but the one they and most other online sellers like NCIX have pictured is the taller or the normal size (size I usually see around anyway). So I was just wondering what the deal with this one?

Sorry if this turns out to be the stupidest question of the century.

Thanks for any help.
