So I recently replaced the stock cooler on the FX 8350 with Hyper 212 EVO. Installing was a bit frustrating but I installed it correctly and have it so that the fan pulls in air and exhauts it out the top of my case. Now I hopped in to Battlefield 4 and immediately the temperature went up to 60C and I was very frustrated. I feel a good amount of heat on the top of my case so it seems like the cooler is doing its job. I heard that the readings for AMD chips were inaccurate so is that the case? Can anyone Help?

your temp limit is 72 so you're good to go, its a £30 cooler on a £105 chip, for those temps id say its good,im about to buy another one now (had a 212+ on my phenoms before now, loved em)

just make sure you're using good paste, not the bundled plasticine and make sure your not running more voltage than you need to.

some reports say teh temp sensor at low idle temps are inaccurate but noone has ever cared, your laod temps are good, tweak your voltage and paste if you need to and happy gaming.

fyi there are 3930ks using the same cooler with good results so...

google is your friend.

considering the rate of progress most cpus today will be weak or HTPC performance in 5 years so hell just go as far as you feel comfortable, im not planning on keepimg my 8320 till 2020..

Buys new cooler = Expects lower but that's not going to happen.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. Yeah, a cooler can't break physics.
