10 meter max if in a direct line.

Are there any other soultions for bluetooth headphones that arent expensive as crap

Bluetooth is inherently bad, you pay for the feature first and everything else second or third.

And on reviews people tell that it sounds good

I have my own earbuds I really dont care for their

And people will tell you anything sounds good.

The theoretical maximum range for bluetooth is 10 meters, these decrease depending on how many obstacles the signal encounters, how thick and dense they are, and how good the transmitter and receiver are. You should be able to pull off at least 3-4 metres with those, but I think they're designed to be worn with your phone in your pocket anyway.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Receiver, the plastic, labor fees, and manufacturing cut. They will sound like a $5 headphone maybe, if not worse...

Well, at least the included earbuds are not fixed. Meaning you could plug a $500 IEM, for example, into the receiver. Although there is still that bandwidth problem I guess, and I wouldn't expect the DAC + pre-amp would be crazy good. Then again, it's bluetooth v3.0, which could reach up to 24Mbit/s (3MB/s?) in theory, and the DAC + pre-amp should be decent enough for mobile use anyway....

Genius how do you think I am supposed to carry around a amp with me....I just asked if their range is good for like, you put phone on the bench while you are playing basketball or something.....And  as I said I have decent 30$ earphones and I really don't care for sony ones I just want to know the range of bluetooth reciever if that is possible...

And is there any other solution like this? That is below 50$? Or any like portable music player with dimensions close to iPod shiffle but not that expensive(in my country 70$)

Edit: http://www.bluetooth.com/Pages/Basics.aspx I found range it's about 10 meters, now just suggest alternative solutions for portable music. And is iPod worth the money?Anyone owns one to tell me?

Didn't realize that it was just a receiver, was on my tablet at the time, at that point, what is the worst that could happen besides it just being ass.

First, did I ever say something about getting a separate amp? Your soundcard/onboard have either or both amps/pre-amps, your mobile phone has them, those bluetooth/wireless headsets have them. They gotta have a pre-amp at least. You can bet 100% that Sony receiver got a pre-amp circuit within it. Without them, signals from the DAC chips won't get nearly loud enough to be enjoyed through IEMs, let alone headphones.

Second, let's say the advice was to get a separate amp. You're saying you have no problem carrying that receiver around, but you'll be having problem carrying something like this?

That's a fully functional dedicated external amplifier, by the way....

Well, it's a set, I think, receiver + the earbud. But yeah, with that price, I wouldn't expect much from the original earbud (although I could be wrong). I'd expect the receiver to be at least passable to enjoy though. Maybe they skimped on the materials to make up for the price.

It's kind of a good thing though, as in theory it could act as an A2DP receiver with 3,5mm out. Meaning, I can turn any non-bluetooth speakers into bluetooth capable speakers with just using that little thingy.
