Hey guys,

It's my first time attempting to install an OS of any kind, so please don't attack me if I sound stupid (I'm good at sounding stupid).

I am installing Windows 8 from an ISO I got online, (can't remember where) and every time I try to install it to my formatted hard drive, it all works fine, but once it reboots to finish installation, it tries to start the process all over again, with no memory of what happened before the reboot. Can someone please, please help me, I feel like an idiot.

Could it be that your mobo and HDD isnt Windows 8 ready? Are you one of those who isnt using an optical drive? :P Find a spare DVD cd and make an ISO on there. Its so much more simple with a USB drive.

What are the specs of your mobo and HDD?

I'm using my Samsung series 5 Ultrabook, which has been shown to be Windows 8 ready. The hard drive is a Hitachi 500gb 5400rpm or something like that.
