Second gen Chromecast?

Do you think we will see a second gen chromecast? the first one came out almost a year ago

 

if there is a second one, it can be expected tomorrow, or august 6th. since google seems to like making there second gen products release 13 days before/ahead of the first gens original release date

it was a huge success, so I assume yes, but maybe not because almost every tv will soon be a smart tv anyway.

What were they thinking releasing a 2.4Ghz only device in this day and age.

Other than an upgraded wireless radio I cannot imagine what else can be improved. The device does very little processing since it basically pulls links for videos and loads them (maybe an oversimplification of its functionality). On the other hand, it it makes the product cheaper than I'm all for it.
