I'm looking to also get a new PSU soon, and I'd like it to be bronze 80 plus or more, a quiet psu, like where the fan stops unless it actualy needs it, etcetc and modular, semi or full, but full preferred

500-600 watts please ;-;

i7 3770 w/ stock cooler - 16 gigs of 1600 mhz ram - AMD Radeon 7770 from Asus - P8H77-M mobo - no name 400w psu - 3000 GB HDD - 128 GB Sandisk SSD all housed in a matte black/red H440

thanks and have fun

the Corsair RM series does this, but for really quiet runnings i would replace the fan, and possibly get a 1000-1200W PSU to have it always run fan less, but yea the best way is to just replace the shitty stock fans with Noctua or bequiet or the likes :)

What's your budget?

The Corsair RM series are excellent PSUs, they don't turn on their fan until 40% load and are rated at 80+ Gold efficiency

Around 100-ish dollars. I was thinking of the RM850 since it's going for 120 at ncix right now.

I thought you were looking at a 500-600w psu. What are you powering?

Right now, a 3770 and a radeon 7770, but plan on upgrading to some better stuff pretty soon

Probably a GTX 770. and maybe future upgrades a bit further from that, maybe.

The rm850 would be overkill for that--even with sli in mind.

What kind of dollars are you using?

CDN, I live in canada. Newegg.ca didn't work for me so try not to link from them for pricing ;

Sorry for the late reply. This was piled under a bunch of tabs I've been meaning to get back to.

I'd suggest getting the rm650: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-rm650
