H100i (so many problems)

I've had so many problems with the H100i. My final (hopefully) problem with it is the fan splitter. You plug in the fan splitter into the water block, which I did, but now I can't plug the fans into the fan splitter, because no pins are sticking out for me to plug the fan into. What do I do? It's pissing me of SO much.

You're supposed to plug the fans into the splitter into the mobo header...

There are plastic covers on the end of the adapter which, when removed, reveal pins.

You're on a roll here

The H100i comes with two fans and a Y fan splitter. The two fans are supposed to be plugged in to the splitter which is plugged in to the motherboard header named cpu_fan or something along those lines.

I bought two retail, SP PWM fans from Corsair.

I can't... no pins are exposed to plug them into.

You're wrong.

The H100i comes with 2 y fan splitters. They are made to plug into the CPU block, not the motherboard. On the other end of the cable are two black blocky adapters. On first glance, they have no pins, but once you look at it again, you can see that there are plastic sleeves on the pins.

This is the cable in question.

The pins are exposed on these. To do so, there is a plastic sleeve protecting the pins. Pull the sleeve off.

How do you take it off?

How do you take it off?

It's a sleeve, so you just pull the little plastic piece off with your fingers, but it won't take much force. If you are pulling hard, you are doing it wrong.

I would show you, but I don't have my other splitter from my H100i on hand.

Yeah I'm looking at the manual right now. CPU pump plugs into the mobo, fans plug in to splitter which goes to pump.

How do you take it off?

Pinch and pull?

It's a sleeve, so you just pull it.

I'll try it tomorrow. I've had so many problems with it it's unbelievable. If it works, I'll love you forever.

lol, I will look around to see if I can find the cable to show you.

It is stupid, by the way, that Corsair has near to no mention of this in the manual. I had a friend with an H80i where he had the same issue. Good luck :D

No problem :)

The other problem that I was having was that the backplate was way too loose and wouldn't properly hold down the water block. I looked online and they said to add extra washers. I pulled off four rubber washers on top of the 750D and it finally worked. Plus, my motherboard is LGA 1150 but I had to use the 2011 standoff screws.
