How can crashplan be so cheap?

4 bucks a month for UNLIMITED cloud storage, how is this possible? Seems too good to be true in my eyes, how can it be so cheap? I assume they make profit out of it, but how?

Well it's not exactly 4$....

 

It's a 60$ initial purchase and 4$ every month if you get a 4 YEAR plan. Which actually ends up being over 250$. I assume you can't just upload whatever you want, since it's a backup utility, so there are probably some kind of limitations there.

No, you just pay for it all at once, but  you can pay montly as well but then it's 6 bucks but yeah, it's not 60 initial if i understood it correctly.

oooh, you're right. Well anyway 4$/month still comes to 189$ over 4 years. Which really would be enough to get you quite a lot of hard drive space and setup your own little backup server
