Android - Themer app - invalid email

Do we have any Android user here? I'm in need of a little help. 
I just got myself the HTC one M8. I installed Themer ( the app to change your theme on your android ). 
Everything works well but I'm having a problem with the email. It keep saying " Invalid email " on the theme email icon. I can click on it and it will take me to my mail. but it doesnt tell me when i got new mail. I have to go in the mail and refresh it everytime. 

any tips?
