AMD Hybrid Graphics

Any word on if AMD will add any support for the higher level graphics cards, such as the r7 260x, with the a10 APUs in crossfire. As of now I tried using an r7 240 in crossfire with my 7850k and the performance was mediocre, so i disabled the integrated graphics for now and am using my gtx 460.

AFAIK the highest card you can run with a APU is the 7750 but even with that the 460 might be more powerful.

A10-7850K can be paired with the R7 250 max

 

A10-6800K and A10-5800K can pair with the HD7750 unofficially but expect the graphics performance to be dumb down as your GPU will have to down clock its memory speeds from DDR5 to DDR3

 

I say stick with a more powerful GPU like a R9 270/X

the issue with Dual Graphics is the performance of the dedicated GPU is already really bad

 

the 240 is meant for low power multimedia use and not for gaming

 

in fact it is actually weaker than the inbuilt gpu the A10-7850K has

 

the inbuilt GPU in the A10 has the performance between the R7 250 and R7 250X

 if you already running a APU system
