Hi,

So, I am thinking to redo my watercooling loop in either two ways as either my fluid or tubing is turning yellow and I am going to replace it with red tubing anyway since the coolant needs to be replaced:

1) Flexible tubing only with a few adapters to make the tubing as straight as possible for clean straight run (almost as clean as acrylic)

I will need to replace all the compression fittings anyway as they are half ruined and I was thinking of using

     'Monsoon 16/10mm (ID 3/8 OD 5/8) Free Center Compression Fittings' : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-034-MO&groupid=962&catid=1529&subcat=2583

       with

     'Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 16/10' : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-104-PM&groupid=962&catid=1530

Would these two be compatible with each other and with my Radaiator Pump and Block? Will it be too tight/not tight enough?  I'm assuming they use G1/4" threads.

Also, What kind of adapters could I use with them? Do I look for ones that just say G1/4" or do I need ones that also say they are for 16/10mm.

My current WC setup is as follows

  •  7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Tubing
  •  G1/4" Radiator, Pump & CPU Block Threads

2) Flexible tubing for the corners only and use hard acrylic tubing for the straight runs

  • If I were to go use acrylic tubing, how would I link up the flexible tubing with the acrylic ones?

I am leaning towards just using flexible tubing as it has a smaller chance of leaking.

If your rad, pump etc. is G1/4 your fittings have to have G1/4 threads to be compatible. Both the tubing and fittings also have to be 3/8 ID 5/8 OD to be compatible with each other. To sum it up, you'll need G1/4 - 3/8 ID 5/8 OD fittings and 3/8 ID 5/8 OD tubing. You can use Performance-pcs. or frozencpu to research the components as these website give more details on the features of the components. Personally I'd go with Bitspower G1/4 1/2 ID 3/4 OD fittings and 1/2 ID 3/4 OD tubing from Primochill.

Ok, I've chosen the 1/2 ID + 3/4 OD Primochill tubing and the Monsoon Free Centre Compression Fittings of the same size. For the adapters, Can I stack two 90deg adapters on one another?

Yep, but you'll need a female to female G1/4 adapter fitting.
