Is the Phenom II X6 1100t still a good cpu. For gaming Battle field metro and other triple A titles

If you can get it to 4.0-4.2GHz it should hold up for a year or two.

if you can upgrade i'd recommend you to but if its just not possible get good cooling and try and oc and get as much as performance you can so you can try and keep up.

paired with a mid-range GPU, absolutely. it will bottleneck high end GPU's such as GTX 780 or R9 290 though.

8350 = phenom x6 in terms of gaming performance

well...all the benchmarks on the internet won't agree with you but i get your point, in the games where the 8350 would struggle the x6 will struggle and in the games where the FX is plenty the X6 is plenty as well...so basicaly in a way they are pretty much the same gaming performance...
