I assume that is to do with the mode the sata ports are configured in? That's my best guess.

well it has work for almost a week.

Hmm, Check the compatibility then, if you can't tweak the bios to clear the issue I might look at formatting the drive and starting over, if that doesn't fix it then I would try and get a hold of another drive.

First of all clear the Cmos By jumper pins or switches or whatever the method your mobo manufaturer provides, if problem still persists, Make sure the hard drive is working properly (atleast it's spinning) , Try to see if the Power cables are seated properly also the sata cables as well, restart the system again, if still not booting up, go into the bios setting make sure that the first boot device is the hard drive with the OS . POst back if you're still having problems

Details separate people.

will today i booted up my computer and i got this error.

So i think the problemis my hard drive becuse it is the one from my old computer and that computer had so many problems.

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • Has there been ANY changed at all? Software? Hardware? Updates?

Start by resetting the BIOS to defaults (usually F9 or F5 inside BIOS menu), and then take a look at the boot options. Remember, if it's an older Operating System (not windows 8) it most likely WILL NOT support UEFI/SecureBoot and there's a small chance the motherboard might be defaulted to this ode if you reset/update the BIOS.

For OS's older than Windows 8, you want to make sure Secure Boot is disabled, UEFI is turned off and CSM/Legacy mode is turned on, and of course that the BIOS actually sees the hard drive.
