How to hook up multiple GPUs?

Hey guys,

 

I have two AMD GPUs in crossfire. How do I hook both of them up to a single monitor (X-Star DP2710)? Do I need to connect both graphics cards up to the monitor using DVI-D cables or do I only need to hook one of them up and leave the other one alone?

What do you mean? IF you want to run dual monitors, both cables need to come from the top GPU

connect the monitor to the top GPU. make sure you have crossfire enabled(I am assuming it is a setting in catalyst control center)

Go into the graphics cards control panel (which should display both gpu's) it show present a diagram with the suggest graphics card (the first one in the top 16x slot) to connect to the following display interfaces hdmi + display port or dvi-d (if you're display supports it which it should.)

 

I'd recommend using either DVI-I/D which ever is the dual linked dvi cable or display port.

although it's a old pdf it should be understandable & applicable to a more modernized UI

Ummm then why did you respond? Also I am helpful but had nothing to say so I thought I might write something entertaining and highlight upon the YouTube point. If you are butt hurt about this, though I can't see why you would be as it in no way affects you, go elsewhere or DON"T REPLY. Good day sir (since he won't respond to this)
