Recently i have been having fps issues in a few games mainly CSGO and LoL

more so in LoL i am getting 90 fps if im lucky at medium settings no shadows and at 1080P

My pc specs are as follows

AMD 8350 @ 4.4GHz

16GB Crucial ram 1600MHz

Nvidia GTX 780 reference/ stock speeds

Games are running off a Kingston SSD

Monitor BenQ XL2720Z 144hz

Temps when playing games

CPU never goes over 40c

GPU is around 55c

you might think 90 fps whats wrong with that ?

the problem i am having is i used to get well over 300 in CSGO and LoL and now that is is bearly 90 it is also causing problems with my monitor since it is refreshing faster then the game is being rendered causing it to be laggy

i have reinstalled graphics drivers multiple times and made sure that it was a clean install i dropped the oc on my cpu nothing changed

but to top this all of im also getting micro freezing ever few seconds or so something that did not used to happen

i hope i have made it sort of clear what the issue is if any more info is needed just ask im at that point that im not sure what it is and need help to figure it out..

Thanks

To the fps issue it is probably drivers, download an older driver. I know for a few months with my 780 every new driver actually reduced my frames by 20 minimum in every game.

I have played around with the drivers i went back to 337 from 340 beta no difference if anything i got even worse performance

Vsync is forced off and i have checked for that if anything i would feel it especially in csgo

Try the 336 drivers, Those are the ones I had to stick with for a while. I think 336.63 is the only one that worked for a while for me.

Check the programs you have running in the background and the resources that they are using.

CCleaner can help you edit your start up file if you do not know how to.

Start-ups are fine i have very little steam, skype, spotify, steelseries engines 2 and 3, light shot and  chrome.

background things are minimal and have never changed form what they are now

I know CS:GO recently had a bad patch that lowered FPS, but it may have been fixed(i'm not sure, i haven't been able to play it on Linux). You may try older drivers or reinstalling drivers. Are you multitasking while playing, perhaps? Even "8" cores and 16GB of RAM can't save a machine with 20+ Tabs(if chrome), Teamspeak, Twitch streaming, AND a game(just an example) :P
