Comp BF4?

Used to play comp in BF3 in CEVO (My god I was terrible) but was never able to get into BF4 because "Teh game is schite mate!" usually being the top on my team with a 5 kd on a good day. 

 

Yes it has its problems but get over it, everyone has the same problem with reg and hitboxes.

 

Anyone know of any good clans that have active comp. group going? (or team in general)

 

Always wanted to be sponsored by Razer, yeah that would be cool.

Yeah pretty much, I was about to type the exact same line.

 

But I hate to burst your bubble but you actually have to be a very very good player to play professionally. Unless the BF4 scene is so horrible that anyone can just hop in and do well (which may be the case) you will have to seriously practice to be able to play at the top level. Razer does not just sponsor anyone off the street. You might be good enough at the game but the odds are you aren't (judging by the amount of people who want to play competitive vs people who CAN play competitively). I personally think BF4 is horrid for competitive play but if you really want to you need to be extremely good to make it work.

Nobody in their right mind would take BF4 seriously as a competitive game. The hitregistration is a complete joke, even after all the updates. Not to mention that BF4 was never designed with e-sports in mind. I could go on and on about this but it basically comes down to: Don't bother with "competitive" BF4, if you want to get into e-sports then look for another game.

You'd need to be on top tier team to get sponsor like Razer. I don't know about american scene but in EU there are still some leagues played. And I'm pretty sure that Dreamhack has LAN tournament.

 All the competitive scene is now is a bunch of wankers running around with the ACE 23 anyway.

 I don't know AKE with a heavy-b, lazer, potato, kobra works wonders if you get the recoil down, switch it to single and you can take out snipers, or use your .44.

Razer sponsorship is only going to come with a really top tier team, like say, MVP, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, Team Empire etc. None of which play BF4

 

I played 2142 in a clan many years ago, and I enjoyed it, but I think competitive shooters are very much lacking these days. We'll see if my opinion changes with UT2k15

BF4 is a good game, its bf3 with ''levolution'' and a bit enhanced graphics, and its very good optimized for pc, on 720p you can get 30fps without a problem with a gf 9500 gt

BF4 is not a good game, not by any standard. Especially if we talk about competitive gaming, but even if you simply play casually you notice the extreme hit registration and lag issues. BF4, as it stands right now 7+ months after release, is a steaming pile of crap. It is not the "same" as BF3 with lelvolution and slightly better graphics, it is a huge downgrade when it comes to the actual gameplay:

 

Hit registration and lag issues ; Simply atrocious. The game is  inconsistent as fuck and you will never be able to have a proper competitive game because of that. Nobody will put up with getting shot behind corners, killtrading all the time and shots not registering. People will not play a game on a competitive level when the game fucks them over half of the time, simple as that.

 

Bad design decisions; Grenade spam, airburst grenades,  tons of lock-on weapons, some guns being really imbalanced, the duck animation when you shoot someone making headglitching impossible to deal with, commander mode with never ending UAV scans on rush, trigger delay on revolvers (making them 100% useless against any player who knows what they're doing) + adding revolvers and the deagle without delay as DLC (yeah, just keep fucking over your playerbase). Battlepacks (not a huge deal but nobody asked for that, seriously), visual recoil (seriously, what were they thinking?!), the implementation of the mobile AA, lelvolution making maps worse instead of changing things up and making them interesting, etc. etc. etc. I could go on for hours, but I think you get the point.

 

Bugs; They did not improve upon BF3, at all. Many, many bugs that have been known since the BF3 beta are still in BF4. Crosshairs getting stuck if you switch your weapon quickly while firing (yes, this is a HUGE deal), TV missile glitching out, jets "stalling" in the air and simply floating there until you go out of bounds and die, headglitching in general (that is a more of a bad design decision, but with the shit that is going on in BF4 you might as well call it a bug), destructible objects popping back in after they've been destroyed, etc. etc. etc. They did not fix ANY of the major bugs that were in BF3, instead they actually adopted them for their next title.

 

BF4 is a worse shooter than BF3, in fact it completely fails at being a decent FPS (let alone a competitve FPS) on so many levels. And, which is even more important to me, it fails at being a proper Battlefield game.

just cause you suck at this game, it doesnt mean that

its bad. i only had it a few times that i shot an enemy directly and no shot hit. keep in mind that everyond has these ,,netcode lags'' (which dont realy exist)

my clan and i dabbled in the "competitive" aspects of BF4 in TWL. lost horribly and once TWL season was over for us we all pretty much quit playing BF4. i have been in CTE and am having isses even there with netcode so i have given up pretty much all hope on the game at this point. we are going on a year after launch and still they have not been able to fix it. there are to many games relying on this engine for shit like this to be allowed and i pray to the lord himself GabeN to please help them as they work on Battlefront.

BF4? Working together? Fixed? Yeah Battlefield will never be these things again...it's gone to COD unfortunately.
