Hey everyone so last night my x12's decided to crap out on me. So i figured its time to start looking into a real sound solution preferably under 175usd. Any headset with mic recommendations or stand alone mics and headphones i saw some sennheiser hd 419 on newegg for about 40 bucks and could get a stand alone mic but if anyone has a good thought i was also looking at the siberia v2 the 7h and 5hv2 please dont say vengence headsets ive had a 1500 and dont want a repeat of what happened with them. any help is much appreciated also i want to do some youtube videos nothing to serious but mic quality is kinda important for that and i was looking at the blue snowball any thoughts

My personal advice would be go for the best set of sennheiser headphones you can afford. They have a great standard for build quality and the frequency response is level and just a touch coloured in the low-mid range which gives them a great voice without sounding boomy or blubbery like most over-bass-ed headphones these days. I've got hd598's and consider myself an audiophile. If you can spare the extra $70 you'll never go back.

@Edit: I forgot to mention, you can't go wrong with dedicated blue mic. you'll get to tailor your sound quality much easier and it'll *usually* give your voice a more open sound. like you're in the room with the listener. Mxl is a more inexpensive brand but also reliable and I personally use a few in my recording setup.

Butts. Booty butts.

thanks for the reply gonna go with the hd 419's since they are cheap and just get some 595's later when i can afford them but now im stuck since i want to record i was also thinking of either a blue yeti or an at2020 thinking of the at2020 just because it doesnt have as much background noise as the yeti
