Hey LTT,

For the last 2 days my internet speeds have been all over the place which makes loading pages a nightmare and to load a page I usually need to reload the page a couple times. Oddly once I have a Youtube page loaded the video will play flawlessly. I am using a wired connection from the integrated LAN port on my ASRock Z77 Extreme4 to my SMC D3GN-RES Modem/Router. My ISP is Rogers and my package is 50Mb/3Mb. Connecting to my routers setup page (192.168.0.1) is also really slow. Any ideas why this may be happening and any way I can fix it? Just ask for more info if you need it.

Thanks!

I assume this is cable internet? If so suppositly it can slow down when others in your area are using cable internet heavily, so maybe someones gone on a game downloading spree?

Yes I am on cable internet but even if that was the case (Someone using lots of bandwidth in my area) I highly doubt it would be totally locked down for 2 straight days and it wouldn't slow down my connection to my routers setup page, would it?

Shutdown the modem and router for a bit. (10 mins or something) See if that helps.

Could be some ill settings within the modem that could be chocking the device or the router is having a ip table issues.

Without knowing more about the setup, its hard to diagnose.
