New build problem

i just finished my new build and have a question/problem?

 

Sabertooth z97 mach 1

i7-4790k

asus gtx 780 CU ii OC

16GB Dominator 1866 RAM

win 8.1

liquid cooled CPU

RM 750 PSU

Minor OC to CPU and Mem

 

I ran Cinebench 15 and my scores where great. next i ran 3DMARK Advance on the extream test settings and my score was X4480

 

Graphics Score=   4134

Physics Score =  10314

Combined Score= 5003

 

Looking at other scores with the same setup and the are much higher. Any Ideas?

since its a new build, are you running the latest drivers?

since its a new build, are you running the latest drivers?

I updated the GPU to the newest official driver(beta has issues) Updated motherboard Bios.

run prime 95 and fur mark for an hour or two and burn in the system this sometimes helps with performance a bit also it could just be bad luck getting lower performance parts than others, some cpu's and gpu's just performe better than other chips of the same model

See if games run less well than expected, and then decide if there is a problem with the build.

Benchmarks are highly sensitive to difference in silicon and slight part differences while games might run just the same.

in prime95 the cpu starts to hit 70-75c after 15-20 min(no OC and new paste). in 3dmark im getting in the 4000 score. every other system with this card and the card reviews are at a min of 10,000 on 3dmark.

I reapplied the paste and with no over clock im around 61c running prime. if i used the auto OC on the sabertooth z97 i get 4.6mhz at 86c running prime. is this to high?
