Hi everyone !

I'm visiting my parents for a few weeks, and I brought my computer. But the wireless connection has a strange behaviour. I'm using a USB dongle (NETGEAR N300 nano) and my router is a Neufbox from SFR.

First, the dongle was plugged at the back of my computer. But I got a very low signal, and it was SUPER slow (~1kb/s). Then I plugged it on the front panel, and windows is showing me 4 bars (which is supposed to be good). But the speed was changing based on whether I'm sitting in front of the computer or not, and I had only ~1Mb/s (I'm supposed to get 10Mb/s, since that's what I get when I use my phone right next to the router).

Then, I looked at the task manager, and I'm seeing a lot of drops (see attachment).

I've tried to run a speedtest with my phone sitting right next to the dongle (to get the exact same signal strengh), and the results are also super bad.

I'm assuming that's a problem with my router or something, but it's weird because it's not that far away and I get 4 bars... I've already ordered a long usb cable and a PCI-e wireless card, just to see if that would change anything. I've considered buying a wireless extender, but nearly all of the not expensive ones have pretty bad reviews, so I don't know what to do... I can't use ethernet (different floor) and powerline would be difficult to set up because of the way the router is set up against a wall.

I'm trying to download Guild Wars 2, and it's taking forever because of this :'(

Thanks in advance for your help !
