Suggestions?

I am trying to get together a parts list for my first build my budget is around 2000 but if necessary i could go up to 2600 usd. The computer will be used primarily for gaming but also to dabble in video editing. I will be running graphically intense games and use adobe premier for video editing. My monitor is a 1920 x 1080 Acer  H236HLbid i don't intend to be adding any more monitors.  Peripherals are listed, and i am upgrading from a mac book air my school issued me so pretty self explanatory why I need a new computer.

Change the CPU to the newer i7 4790k-

Don't get the Asus maximus Forumula, go with the Asus Z97 Hero. You don't need the OC panel and the L2N overclocking.

16gb of ram will come in handy when it's time to edit and multitask.

Change the PSU for something like a EVGA 650W SuperNova NEX. You can pick a 750w-850w now and get another GTX 780ti in the future. The EVGA 850W G2 is a great unit.

A few suggestions.

Go with the newer Haswell Refresh i7-4790K. It is faster at stock and should produce decent overclocks.

Go with 2x8GB of memory. The extra memory will do far more to improve performance than less, but faster memory.

The new Crucial MX100 ssd have decent performance. In gaming and general desktop use it will perform well.

As nice as a ROG motherboard is a newer Z97 motherboard with ac WiFi makes more sense.

Interestingly there are two HX650 psu models. The one below is significantly less expensive and the newer model. Both are build by Seasonic and both are very well reviewed.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
