Cooling set up in the H440 (AIO Water and Case Fans)

Hey,

I'm building a new desktop in the H440 and am currently contemplating the cooling set up. The parts I have are:

Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red)

Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k

GFX: MSI GTX 770 TF OC

PSU: Corsair CX600M

RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill 2133MHz RipJawzX

Storage: 250GB Samsung 840 EVO and 1TB WD Blue

All I need now is the AIO water cooler for my processor to finish it off. However, I know that the H440 - whilst adequate for cooling - is not great. So I want to optimize my cooling inside the case whilst still having an AIO (120/140/240/280mm all fine) cooler in there. I have two questions:

1. What is the best, moderately priced (<$100/£65) AIO water cooler?

2. How should it be placed to optimize the cooling in my case?

I know the top panel of the H440 is blocked and has small vents at the back and right side, so would this is a good place to put my rad or should I put fans up there instead? Should I get SP fans or regular ones?

Many thanks :D

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 .:. Processor: Intel Core i7-4790k @ 4.7GHz .:. Graphics Card: MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr OC 2GB

Storage: 1x 250GB Samsung 840 Evo, 1x 1000GB WD Blue .:. RAM: 4x4GB G.Skill RipjawzX 2133MHz .:. CPU Cooler: Cryorig R1 Ultimate

Case: NZXT H440 Black/Red .:. PSU: Corsair CX600M .:. Fans: 5x 120mm AeroCool Dead Silence, 1x 140mm AeroCool Dead Silence

So the AIO could go anywhere and have little effect on the ambient temperature in the case?

Static pressure fans with the rad,

if you're worried about case temp just make sure the rad is an exhaust

H100 is on sale tight now for 70USD on newegg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181038&cm_re=h100-_-35-181-038-_-Product

quick question, are you overclocking with a lot of voltage? If so you might want to save up for a H110

CPU - Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.60GHz 1.264v | RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 16.0GB (2x8GB) | Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77 WS | Graphics - EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 | Storage -  120 GB Samsung 840 EVO | PSU - Corsair RM650 | Case - Corsair 550D

I'm from the UK so Newegg sales don't apply to me unfortunately but thanks very much anyway :)

Case temp isn't a main priority as long as the components are cool, and seeing as the Twin Frozr is a good cooler my graphics card shouldn't be too much bother. I will be overclocking pretty hard (basically as far as I can go stable and with reasonable temps) so it might be worth getting the H110. I have enough money to spend on a better cooler as long as I can justify it with better performance.

Has anyone else got any ideas?

Not sure if this popped up, but the Kraken x41 outperforms the H100i, as well as since it's NZXT, it keeps the build NZXT-themed. According to Linus' review it outperforms/competes with the H100i, and it's higher end version, the x61 is also available. Also, it has RGB lights and software just like the H100i.

newegg is UK distro now..

if looking for the best overclock, the x60/61 would be the better choice. next would

be the H105 and then any AIO afterwards.

The problem with Newegg is the sales tax and shipping costs afterwards (in pic is a new x61 at $149.99):

Bringing the total to £126.

The x41 looks a very compelling option and I think I will try and get that when it becomes more widely available in the UK. Scan are allowing pre-orders at £80.

Yeah. I like matching the brands in my builds :P. I find it a pain when availability and pricing is all whack in different countries o.e ...

There's also the older NZXT Kraken X40, which looks like it offers the same sort of features, along with the Kraken x60. Haven't looked into those as much though.
