It's been about two months since I built my computer and this week it started freezing up when I tried to play games and I would have to power it off using the power button. I have already been working on figuring out the problem and have found out a couple things.

First, I tried updating the drivers, which didn't work. Then, I simply ran a couple tests (like the ones with MSI Kombustor) while monitoring the GPU information. Both GPU's appeared to be working fine (temps and fan speeds were being read and were at average levels). Then I tried the GPU's separately. Both of them work perfect when separated and I can play games with out the computer freezing up. So this is where I got stumped.

The only thing I can think of (and I'm not a genius so I probably haven't thought of it all) would be that there might be something wrong with the motherboard. But since I'm not able to shell out money right now for another one (and quite frankly I don't have the time to replace it and all that) I'm hoping that isn't the problem. I'm thinking it most likely isn't since both GPU's are being registered whenever I check.

Any suggestions?

BTW, the GPU's are Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB cards.

No I don't overclock (though I am planning to). In terms of how long I played (I'm assuming you mean how long did I play before it froze) it would only be a couple seconds. The game would load, and almost instantly the computer would freeze. And yes, I have been playing them every since I built my computer 2 months ago with absolutely no problems. It just started freezing up this past Monday or Tuesday.
