Program or mod for NVIDIA shield to allow controller support on more apps

Hey I just bought a Shield and I love it. The first game I downloaded and played was dead trigger 2. It was already set up for controller support and it worked perfectly. Now as i have tried to download more games, some of the games have no support. Is there a mod or program where I can set up controller settings?
