Hey guys, i just bought these 1866mhz DDR3 corsair dominator ram modules (16gb) and for some reason NB-frequency is 2215mhz and the DRAM-frequency is 670mhz.

I've seen the cpu's limit and for my cpu it is 2x1866mhz and that is what i have.
I bought 2x8gb 1866mhz dominator ram and the motherboard http://www.gigabyte....spx?pid=3907#sp

can handle it. The cpu http://www.cpu-world...170FRW4KGU.html

can handle it.

Please help!

The system board and the cpu will support the 1866 DIMM's. But only one DIMM per channel with the AMD3+..this means 1 stick in each colour slot ONLY .Have a read in your manual. It will tell you in what slots to put the DIMMS. Your manual will also tell you the proper setup for your RAM in the BIOS section.By default, the ram will run at a slower setting..you will need to adjust those settings in your BIOS to get to the higher speeds..just remember..multiply the mhz by 2 to see what the ram is running at..so 670 mhz x2 = 1340mhz....the standard slow setting..

Your best effort is the easiest thing to give to someone else..

Well i did try to clock the ram at 1866Mhz in the bios befour but then it wouldn't boot properly. The manual isn't helpfull at all saying nothing about the 2-channel setup being limited.
