Hi guys,

I'm building a new computer for my dad.

And i am wondering if everything will fit or if there are things that i should change.

He will be using it for Photoshop, e-mail, internet browsing,... (daily use)

Here are the parts:

(Ram is 2 x 4gb Corsair Vengeance low profile)

I did not choose a GPU because i think the integrated graphics (Intel HD 4600) are enough for running Photoshop (correct me if i'm wrong)

Thanks in advance!

Don't spare on the motherboard, it's not a good idea with an expensive cpu. Get something like an asus z97-a, it's worth it, expecially if you plan on adding on expansion cards in the future. For the rest it looks good to me :D

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

The z97-a is ATX and won't fit in my case :/

FFS. People don't understand that (good) H97 boards are basically Z97 boards without overclocking. Heck that motherboard can do overclocks, though not big ones. He isn't using a K chip, so why bother use a Z97. H and Z boards use basically the same components. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Educate yourself that the best H-boards will beat the cheapest Z board.

Anyway, the build looks good, but I've had WD Greens fail and loose my data in my NAS. WD Blue is just the thing I'd do but it's your choice.

No problem :) The only other micro-ATX mobo i can find is the Gigabyte H97M-HD3 which has about the same price :/ So maybe i should change my case then? Or an older chipset?

nah for matx boards it doesn't get much better

Pretty much because better capacitors and more expansion capabilities, but he's using an matx case and I hadn't noticed that ^^
