hey guys, i recently got a new router at home to be able to get a strong wireless signal over more of the house, but since we did this, i moved my ps3 into the living room for my parents as a media pc kinda thing to watch movies that are on my pc's hard drive, but on the router that has all of the traffic going through it ran out of connection ports due to the new router, which has nothing connected to it, because anything connected through wire doesnt work. does anyone know why this is, i have the modem going to router 1, which goes out to PC#1, Printer, my alternative router on the other side of the house which has my pc connected, and then the final port goes to the second router, but even with this the wired connections dont work, but wireless does, and i need wired so that the ps3 media server connection will work. any ideas from anyone.

thanks in advance.

Are you sure the wifi for the second router is working? Because if that is working then your Ethernet would work. Also did you set it up so your second router is just a extender and not trying to create its own network?

ok, i have just found, i can connect to it, but the internet doesn't work when i do, i don't know why... i just assumed it worked because i had no reports of problems from people on that side of the house...

You need to setup the router to be an extender not a let alone router. Well you need to at least turn of the DHCP server on the router that has no internet. Then report back.
