Need help with hard drive

Go to solution Solved by Wiff,

So i have a 5400 rpm drive laying around , can i connect it to sata 6gb/s or do i need to connect it to sata 3 ? thanks!

S-ATA III= 6Gb/s

S-ATA II= 3Gb/s

S-ATA I= 1,5 Gb/s

You can plug the drives in any S-ATA connector, all S-ATA connectors are compatible but you will only be able to use the speed of the slowest one
