So this is my mom's phone and randomly every damn second the top menu will slide down a bit and then go back to where it used to be. I'm pretty sure this is a software problem because it doesn't look like there is anything touching the screen making this happen. I was wondering how I could fix this. I have already updated to the latest software and I can't seem to stop it.

Maybe I should load it up with a custom rom, but I don't know how to do it on this phone or if there is even support for the device for cyanogenmod. She doesn't have any information she needs on it so this could happen if needed. If it goes down this road a nice walk-through guide on how to do it on this device would

Has she dropped it? Or does that happen when the screen has some kind of condensation? Because it could still be a hardware issue.

I am pretty sure that it has a mediatek processor so it will be hard for it to get any kind of custom roms on it, unless it is really popular which i doubt, you could try to find something in xda-developers.

EDIT:

I found that it is a common problem:

If she can return it, do it and stay away from lesser known brands, get her a moto g/moto e.
