if you really want wireless i guess :/

someone needs to make a set definition of gaming mouse.. wireless AND laser.. and its still allowed to be called gaming.. i guess without that they cant increase the price as much.

It can be wired if you desire. I always use my G700s as wired whenever I'm gaming and wireless for HTPC.

And also, the G700s was like 49.99 on amazon a few months ago so this deal is okay.

It's only 60 when I go to that page... I currently have an old fashioned G700 and it's the best mouse I've ever had. Wireless? Yes, but not if you don't want it. Plug the USB cable in and it's just a standard wired mouse that ALSO can be used to charge AA batteries while you game!

avoid it like the plague.  I just recently bought one from Amazon and it's on the way back for a refund.  The mouse itself is excellent in terms of quality and ergonomics.  But what I can't stand is first it's a battery guzzler and then every time the battery is swapped for another one,  all the assigned keys through Logitech gaming software gets reset.   I can even cope with the need to swap battery every other day but to loose the assigned buttons every time is inexcusable.

I own one and love it.  Well worth the $70 price tag imo.

As many above have already stated, you can use this thing wired if you really don't want the (non-existent from my experience) laggyness of wireless.   I chose this mouse over the naga/g600 for MMO gaming.  Has slightly fewer buttons, but I prefer the layout and feel of the mouse itself (non-slip surface is excellent).

As for swifty7's complaint of battery life, you're right, it is a battery hog.  At the same time, Logitech supplies you with a high quality rechargeable AA battery out of the box, along with a cable to charge the mouse when not in use.  Unless you're gaming for 4-5 hours straight wirelessly and can't be bothered to stop for 2-3 seconds to plug in if you get a low battery warning, you won't have any issues with overall battery life.  Also, if you can't be bothered to spend 2 seconds plugging the mouse in, you deserve to lose your button assignments (although the macros can be saved directly into the logitech gaming software to easily reload the settings).

I have many enaloop batteries that I can swap with but I don't understand why the macros get reset.  I have the  logitech mx1100 and that never happens.  Logitech gaming software does save the macros settings but won't work when try to restore it.  All in all I'm very disappointed.   I wish Logitech made the same mouse but a non gaming version with dual battery like the mx1100.  Why only gaming mice have to have all the buttons.  The 602 comes close but that one doesn't have the switchable hyper wheel/left and right tilt.
